btyMy name is Alice, I am 26.

Working as Guest/Public Relations Manager in Luxury Hospitality, currently based in Monaco.

I discovered Crete for the first time in June 2016 while travelling with my twin sister, Lea.

I fell in love with Crete, the people, the culture.

I was used to travel but for the first time I succeed to really LIVE THE PRESENT, forgetting the stress of my former Parisian life, disconnecting from the hectic nature of modern life, and connecting with Crete and the people around me on a deeper level.

I went back to Crete in August 2016, discovered Crete deeper thanks to local friends.

I had never thought about living abroad before but Crete gave me the desire to do it.

The 14th of April 2017, I was on my way to start living in Crete.
I had never felt so free and happy. I was just living the moment.

I cannot explain well why I am feeling so good there.
It is difficult to put words on feelings.

But mainly,
I think Crete is a place where people do know how to live the present,
how to enjoy the life.

They do have the economic crisis but I have never met so generous and warm people.

Crete is a beautiful place for its landscapes but also and above all for its people.

If I had to describe Crete in some words I would say :

Having worked in different luxury hotels in Paris at different management positions before, I found easily a place to work as Guest Relations Manager in Crete.

Working in Hospitality is for me a real passion.

Hosting guests is making them live an experience, a human encounter, a generous and genuine sharing.

But in the Resort where I was working, I got disappointed: the generosity and thoughtfulness were lacking, the custom-tailored services were missing.

Actually the stay the guests were experiencing in the Resort was far from the Crete I discovered with locals and my idea of Luxury Hospitality.

I was taking pleasure to recommend them my own favourite places and afterwards thrilled and happy to know I succeed to make them live a nice experience.

But I would have loved to be freer customizing and creating great, unique and authentic experiences.

I do believe the future of Luxury Hospitality is being able to create custom-made genuine experience, disconnecting from the hectic nature of modern life, reconnecting with oneself, the people around you and the nature, relearning how to truly live the present.

Crete seems to be a perfect place to experience it.

Through this blog, I wish to combine both of my passions: Crete & creating custom-tailored experiences.

You plan to visit Crete but you don’t really know where to go, what to do, what to see, where to stay, where to eat, and how to get around.

You want to discover the genuine Crete and not only the tourist places recommended by every guide.

You start to be lost and overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information out there, then you are at the right place.

I would be delighted to help you planning your getaway as if I was planning my own, sharing with you my insider tips and recommendations, guiding you towards the hidden gems of Crete.
